In dialect poetry the poet tries to compose what s/he cannot utter in the formal language. Two dialect poems, "Adoravon" by Janali Khavand and “Meshey Nazi” by Tahmasb Bedrud, both in Roudbari dialect of Kerman, Iran, reflect the culture of the people in southern part of Kerman. Both poems show nostalgia for the past. In this study we analyze the components of their nostalgic look at cultural aspects of society in which they have lived. To this purpose, nostalgic concepts of these poems, under two general titles of individual memory and collective memory have been studied. It is argued both poets use the same concepts with regards to nostalgia but employ different elements of folklore to express nostalgia.
