An analysis of a poem depends upon the binary oppositions which constitute its structure. Exploring and discovering such binaries can lead to critical analysis of a poem. The structure of poetry of Forugh Farrokhzad is based on binary opposition of love and death as an ever present feature of her poetry. The concept of love and its related aspects cannot be discussed in the Forough’s poetry without the concept of death.
