Abstract

Critical discourse analysis is an interdisciplinary approach that outstand role social change in linguistic studies. This theory reveals role of discourse in social relations especially in relationships that show unequal power. Fairclough, British linguistics and researcher, presented a three dimensional model and created a broader framework for this theory, so in this model the role of situation and community is highlighted. In this study discourse (vocabulary) was compared with rhetoric in khosrow and shirin because discussions of discourse analysis are widespread. The purpose of this study is make a clearer analysis of this approach by comparing rhetoric and Fairclough's theory according to highlight role of position. One of the achievements of this research is that the Nezammi in khosrow and shirin has paid attention to the role of position in Maani, Bayan and Badie. In other words it has been tried to show that exquisite expression in the khosrow and shirin poems plays a key role in constructing a prominent position for actor's actions.
