Hallliday's systemic functional theory is a social look at language which is interwoven with three metafunctional processes. The present paper is an analysis of the role of different processes in the poem "The one who is not like anyone" by Forugh Farrokhzad. In this paper we ask how the mental process affects other processes and whether it is possible for a minimal process in a poetical position to be developed into a dominant social discourse. In a broader sense, is poetic vision capable of turning into a substantial social discourse? The ideational metafunction section and processes from Halliday´s (1976) systemic functional theory are selected for the analysis. It is argued that the most usage of material and relational processes and the least usage of mental processes are used in her poem, respectively. Thus other processes have been used in accordance with the development of mental process to foretell someone is coming.
