The lyrical poem of Homay-o-Homayoun written by 8th century mystic poet, Khaju Kermani, is about the fiery love of Homay, a Prince of Damscus, for Homayoun, a Chinese princess. About fifty-two years ago, a renown Tajik scholar, Kamal Eyni, edited this poem for the first time. Eyni's work is based on a manuscript written in 750 A. H., three years before the poet's death. Although Eyni has taken great care in his edition, there are still some problems in his work. Thus by comparing the manuscript and the printed version we found about 50 discrepancies which are due to misreading, disregarding certain words and so on in the manuscript not including possible typographical cases.
