چکیده

طرزِ خواندنِ ترکیبات و نیز وجوهِ چندگانه‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ی معنایی از عمده دشواری‌های بوستان است. از همین مقوله است بیتِ «زنِ شوخ چون دست در قلیه کرد/ برو گو بنه پنجه بر روی مرد» که مصححان و شارحانِ بوستان بیشتر به ضبطِ مشکوکِ مصراع نخست آن پرداخته‌اند و کوشیده‌اند معنی آن را دریابند، غافل از این که مصراع دوم ابهام بیشتری دارد. در این تحقیق ضمن پیشنهادِ معنی «روبند زنان» بر اساس خوانش این واژه به صورتِ «پُنجه» که در فرهنگ‌ها و متون مختلف آمده و می‌تواند یک گام برای گشودنِ معنی مصراع نخست این بیت دشوار بوستان نیز باشد، درباره‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ی آشفتگی فرهنگ‌های لغت در معنی‌ها و ضبط‌های مختلف واژه‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ی «پُنجه» بحث شده است. همچنین برای دریافتِ مفهوم سعدی در مصراع نخست، به ترکیبِ «قلیه‌خوار: قلتبان» در فرهنگ‌ها که از نظر شارحان به دور مانده، اشاره شده است. در باب هفتمِ بوستان و در بخش «گفتار اندر پرورش زنان و ذکر فساد ایشان» بیت‌هایی آمده که در ضبط بیتی از آن‌ها جای تردید است.
