چکیده

رمان درازنای‌شب، از جمله رمان­های واقع­گرای دهه­ی­ چهل محسوب می­شود که جمال میرصادقی آن را به نگارش درآورده­است. این رمان به بازتاب یکی از چالش‌های مهم جامعه یعنی «انقطاع و شکاف نسلی» اختصاص یافته­است. این مضمون اگرچه یکی از کهنه­مضمون­های ادبیات فارسی به­شمار می­رود، از آن‌جا که همواره در تمام اعصار و در میان اکثر ملل، جریان دارد توجه بسیاری را به خود معطوف کرده­است. انعکاس این موضوع مهم اجتماعی در رمان، می­تواند در آگاهی بخشیدن به بسیاری از خانواده­های ایرانی که هنوز با این چالش مواجه نشده­اند، کمک شایانی کند. نویسنده در درازنای شب، این معضل اجتماعی را در یکی از خانواده‌های سنتی رمانش که نماینده­ی بسیاری از خانواده­های ایرانی است، به نمایش گذاشته و عواملی را که به تدریج در محیط خانواده، سبب ظهور و بروز این شکاف می­شود، با دقت و مهارت خود به تصویر کشیده است. او در این رمان، نسل جدید و جوان را در برابر نسل بالغ و سنتی قرارداده و انقطاع نسلی را که همان عدم اشتراک میان تفکرات پدران و مادران با فرزندان است، ترسیم کرده و نشان داده است که چگونه «انقطاع نسلی» می­تواند نسل جدید را در برابر نسل قبلی­(نسل بالغ) به شورش وادارد و انقطاع کامل و شکاف نسلی را سبب گردد.

Examining Generation Gap as a Realistic Principle in Deraznay-e Shab

Abstract
Deraznay shab written by Jamal Mirsadeghi is considered to be a realistic novel of 1960s. This novel reflects one of the crucial challenges of the society which is the so-called 'Generation Gap'. Although the concept is one of the oldest concepts in Persian literature, it has attracted the attention of many writers as it has been the recurrent theme of many literary works among different nations of different eras.The reflection of this important social issue can be considered as a hint to many Iranian families who have not faced this challenge yet. The author in Deraznay e shab skillfully shows this social problem in a traditionally religious family, typical of an Iranian family, revealing factors that gradually cause this gap. He puts the young and new generation against the mature and the traditional ones in this novel. He also considers generation gap as a kind of misunderstanding between the parents' and children’s. The author then shows how this generation gap can make the younger generation rebel against the older one and cause a complete separation between the two.
