چکیده

بدیع‌الزمان فروزانفر در پایانِ مجلد هفتم تصحیح خود از دیوان کبیر مجموعۀ گسترده‌ای از لغات و ترکیبات و اصطلاحات دیوان کبیر را در فرهنگی با عنوان «نوادر لغات و تعبیرات و مصطلحات دیوان کبیر» گرد آورد و با تسلطی کم‌نظیر بر زبان و بیان مولانا شرح و معنا کرد. این فرهنگ در برچیدنِ دشواری و ابهامِ شمار فراوانی از ابیات دیوان کبیر و حتی دیگر آثار مولانا گره‌گشاست؛ امّا «فرهنگ نوادر» کاستی‌ها و خطاها و افتادگی‌هایی دارد و برخی لغات و اصطلاحات و تعابیر یا از قلم استاد افتاده یا نادرست یا ناقص معنا شده‌اند، یا بیت را نادرست قرائت و تصحیح کرده و ناگزیر در معنا کردن آن نیز به خطا رفته است.
در این مقاله نمونه‌هایی از افتادگی‌ها و خطاها و کاستی‌های یادشده با استناد به شواهدی از سخن مولانا و دیگر گویندگانِ شعر فارسی و همچنین فرهنگ‌های لغت بررسی شده است تا سرانجام، معنای دقیق بیت‌ها آشکار شود.

Some Semantic Problems in Foruzanfar’s Farhang-e Navader-e Loghat of the Diwan-e Kabir

At the end of the seventh volume of his edition of the Diwan-e Kabir, Badiʿ al-Zaman Foruzanfar compiled a comprehensive lexicon entitled Farhang-e Navader-e Loghat va Taʿbirat va Mostalahat-e Diwan-e Kabir, in which he explained and interpreted a wide range of words, expressions, and technical terms occurring in the Diwan-e Kabir with exceptional mastery of Rumi’s language and style. This lexicon has long served as an indispensable resource for resolving the linguistic and semantic difficulties of numerous verses in the Diwan-e Kabir and, indeed, in Rumi’s other works. Despite its enduring scholarly value, however, the Farhang-e Navader contains a number of omissions, inaccuracies, and inadequately explained entries. In some cases, words, expressions, and technical terms have been overlooked or insufficiently explained; in others, problematic readings or emendations of the text have led to questionable interpretations.
This article re-examines a number of such cases through evidence drawn from Rumi’s works, the poetry of other Persian poets, and Persian lexicographical sources. By reassessing these entries and readings, the study seeks to clarify the meanings of the relevant verses and to contribute to a more accurate understanding of the language of the Diwan-e Kabir
